The Hill is reporting that sixty-six programs would be completely eliminated under Trump’s budget proposal. Let’s check out the list, then contact our MoC about some of the programs that mean the most to us. We can also use 5Calls’ call script to speak about the budget as a whole.

While abroad with President Trump in Saudi Arabia, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson held a press conference in Riyadh without notifying US press. Let’s take a moment to remind the Secretary that it is this country’s citizens who employ him.

“President Donald Trump has told advisers he wants to end payments of key Obamacare subsidies, a move that could send the health law’s insurance markets into a tailspin, according to several sources familiar with the conversations.” (Politico) While Trump may think this is a good way to thumb his nose at another Obama entity, it will leave many citizens, patients and doctors alike, in dire straits. Let’s let our MoCs know that we are counting on them to keep us covered and healthy.

Instead of hearing Trump say that he will cooperate with any investigation, we are hearing him wail and complain. On top of that the White House is looking into “…an obscure ethics rule to undermine the special counsel investigation into ties between President Donald Trump’s campaign team and Russia…” We need to let the White House and our MoCs know that this is unacceptable and that the special counsel should be able to do his job.

In the seven months leading up to the election, the Trump campaign had at least 18 undisclosed contacts with Russians. Now that we have a DOJ-appointed special counsel, it is all the more important to continue demanding a Congressional independent investigation. Let’s contact our legislators on this, again.
